FAQ
LVT Fitting in Sutton Coldfield: Questions Answered
Straight answers about lvt fitting in Sutton Coldfield — costs, timings and coverage.
Yes — we fit Karndean, Amtico and other LVT brands regularly in Sutton Coldfield. Both require a flat subfloor to within 3mm over 2 metres. We include a free subfloor assessment with every LVT quote — if levelling is needed, we tell you in writing before any work starts.
Sometimes — it depends on the height of the existing tiles, their condition, and the door clearances in the room. We assess this at the quote visit. If the tiles are sound and level, and door clearances allow it, fitting LVT directly over them is possible. If not, we advise tile removal and quote for it separately.
LVT fitting in Sutton Coldfield costs £12–£22 per m² for labour only — the same rates as across Birmingham. Glue-down Karndean or Amtico costs more than click LVT. Subfloor levelling, if needed, is quoted separately in writing first.
Glue-down LVT is the most stable choice for kitchens, hallways and underfloor heating but needs a very flat subfloor. Click LVT floats over underlay, fits faster and suits most bedrooms and living rooms. We advise at the quote visit.
A standard room in glue-down LVT takes about a full day including preparation, and the floor needs 24 hours before heavy use. Click LVT is faster, typically half a day per room.
